as the Body of Christ, for the Reality and
the Manifestation of the Kingdom, and for the Bride
to Make Herself Ready for the Lord’s Coming
Message Two
Inheriting the All-inclusive Christ as the Good Land by Taking Heed to His Words of Advice and Warnings and by Receiving His Renewed Training to Have Our Inner Man Renewed Day by Day
Opening Word of the Prophesying Meeting
Reading the verses in each day.
Reading the main points in the outlines.
Pray-reading the verses:
Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief in falling away from the living God.—Heb. 3:12.
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.—1 Cor. 10:14.
…Do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind…—Rom. 12:2.
Word of Appetizer
In what nine things did God’s retraining consist for His people?
In Deuteronomy 10:12-22, Moses charged the Israelites with nine things: to fear Jehovah their God; to walk in all His ways; to love and serve Him with all their heart and soul; to keep His commandments and statutes, that it might be well with them; to circumcise their heart; to be no more stiffnecked; to cleave to Him; to swear by His name; and that He was their praise and their God.
Spiritual Burden
To possess Christ as our good land fully, we must take heed lest there be in us an evil heart of unbelief; we need to exercise our spirit of faith and keep our hearts turned to the Lord continually, believing fully in His promises, His presence with His people, and our ability to overcome.
Concluding Word of the Prophesying Meeting
Revelation of the Truth
God’s calling of the Israelites was for them to enter into the promised land, enjoy its riches, establish God’s kingdom, and be His expression on earth.
If we would possess Christ as our good land fully, the apostle Paul warns us against idolatry, saying, “Flee from idolatry” (1 Cor. 10:14).
God, through Moses, retrained the new generation of Israelites after their long wandering, preparing them to enter and possess the land God had promised; all of the first generation, except for Caleb and Joshua, had passed away, and the second generation was ready to enter and possess the good land.
The Experience of Life
The first generation typifies our old man, and the second generation typifies our new man; we need to be the ones who grow in life, fully possessing and enjoying the all-inclusive Christ (which is the land promised by God); the transformation is that the old man dies, and the new man grows; God’s economy is that our old man (the outward man) be destroyed, and our new man (the inward man) be renewed day by day.
Because of the Lord’s mercy and grace, after we entered the Lord’s recovery, we are undergoing renewal so that we may grow in life, be transformed in life, and be brought into the enjoyment of Christ as our good land, for the building up of God and for the kingdom.
Practice and Application
To have God’s keeping power, we need to exercise our spirit of faith and keep our hearts turned to the Lord continually, believing fully in His promises, His presence with His people, and their ability to overcome.
To possess Christ as our good land fully, we need, by receiving the Lord’s new speaking to us day by day, to maintain our freshness and newness before the Lord (Lam. 3:22-24; Deut. 34:7; Rom. 7:6; Jer. 15:16); we need to be careful not to faint in the land (Deut. 4:25).
PROPHESYING TOPICS—TWELVE TOPICS PER WEEK
Day 1
T1 Although we have been redeemed, we may yet fail to reach the goal of God’s calling (Exo. 3:8; Phil. 3:12-14)
(Please illustrate what was the goal God called the Israelites to? )
T2 We should resist this evil of unbelief with prayer (Heb. 3:12; Num. 13:30)
(Please illustrate that we should follow the example of Caleb and Joshua – they were full of faith.)
Day 2
T1 The defeated enemy is the best food (Num. 14:9; 2 Cor. 4:13)
(Please illustrate that we must have living faith and consider the enemy as the best food. )
T2 Our food is not only the word of God but also the difficulties we encounter (Num. 14:9; 2 Cor. 4:13)
(Please illustrate through experiences that every difficulty and temptation Satan gives us is our food.)
Day 3
T1 Self-adornment leads to idolatry (Exo. 3103:5-6; 1 Cor. 1:14)
(Please illustrate that the principle of idolatry is self-adornment.)
T2 Idolatry is Satan’s usurping of what God has given us in order to make it a waste (1 Cor. 1:14; 1 John 5:21)
(Please illustrate that God gives us many things, not for self-adornment, but to worship and glorify Him.)
Day 4
T1 All idolaters are pretending to worship the true God (John 4:24)
(Why is it said that idolatry is pretending?)
T2 Moses and the Lord were not only close friends but also God’s partners and companions (Exo. 33:7, 11)
(Why did Moses set up the tent outside the camp?)
Day 5
T1 The old generation died in the wilderness, which is a warning to us; but a new generation has been born, this is a change (Rom. 12:2; 2 Tim. 3:16)
(Please illustrate that there are two generations of Israelites from the Passover to entering the Promised Land, which indicates that there are also two generations in believers.)
T2 To see that the word that proceeds from the mouth of God is Christ (Deut. 8:3; 2 Tim. 3:16a)
(Please illustrate through experiences that it is by the Christ as the word which we inhale that we can fulfill God’s requirements.)
Day 6
T1 We must have a proper fear of God (Deut. 1:12, 20)
(Please illustrate that do not fear anything or anyone, including God. This lack of fear is terrible; it is the source of all kinds of lawlessness.)
T2 When we fear God, we will walk in His ways (Deut. 1:12; John 14:6)
(Please illustrate that walking in God’s way is to live God, manifest God, reveal God, and magnify God.)
